Following a farewell luncheon with the WNE Women's Soccer team (who are off to Italy!), President Caprio, Coach Downes, and WNE Soccer Alum & Trustee Ed Lindsay, the WNE Men's Soccer team took a short bus ride to Logan Airport and is awaiting departure for London continuing on to Madrid, Spain.
The 25 member travel party includes 20 players, Coach Sullivan, Coach Lusignan, Mike Vallee, Professors Marilyn Pelosi and Sharianne Walker. The group will participate in 5 highly competitive exhibition games against Spanish club teams and enjoy sightseeing through Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona, and Costa Brava.
The players are also taking part in a Cultures Course being taught by Dr. Pelosi and Dr. Walker on Spanish culture, history, and sport. The course began online on July 1st and now continues live in Spain!
